TV On The Radio reschedule London gig for August

They will play The Roundhouse on August 30

TV On The Radio will play London’s Roundhouse on August 30 after pulling their show at the same venue earlier this year, after drummer Jahphet Landis was hospitalised.

All European dates scheduled for February were cancelled, including five UK shows. In a statement, the band assured fans that Landis would be fine, but was not able to travel.

“It is with much regret that due to a health emergency, TV On The Radio have been forced to cancel their upcoming Europe/UK tour…” wrote the band. “Drummer, Jahphet is in the hospital; he will be ok but is not able to travel at this time. TV On The Radio would like to apologize to their European & UK fans and appreciate everyone’s understanding and well wishes for Jahphet at this time.”

The band will now play The Roundhouse in Camden on August 30, with tickets going on sale at 10am on May 1.

TV On The Radio released their fifth studio album ‘Seeds’ in November of last year, along with a video for lead single ‘Happy Idiot’, which featured former Doctor Who actor Karen Gillan plus Paul ‘Pee-Wee Herman’ Reubens as a racing driver suffering a mental breakdown.
