The line up grows ever bigger for 2019...

The final three acts have been revealed for BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Middlesbrough – and they’re saving some of the biggest names till last.

Foals, Dave and Twenty One Pilots will all head to Stewart Park in May, joining a line-up that already includes the likes of the 1975 and Miley Cyrus.

While tickets quickly sold out after going on sale last month, fans in attendance can also expect appearances from the likes of Stormzy, Mumford and Sons and Little Mix.

The latest edition of the festival comes after it headed to Swansea in 2018, with a line-up that included George Ezra, Taylor Swift, Camilla Cabello and Florence & The Machine.

Describing the event, breakfast show host Greg James previously told NME: “It’s like Christmas at Radio One when we do Biggest Weekend, and it’s like the worst Boxing Day feeling after it! I really hate doing that show on Monday, because we have to come all the way back for it and we’re all knackered and hungover.

“It’s a chance to see acts who don’t usually do festival shows, and a lot of people who come to the Big/Biggest Weekend aren’t used to going to festivals themselves. It could be a lot of kids’ first festivals and I think that’s a great thing. They’re just the most brilliant thing to be a part of.”
