Dee Snider announces new career-spanning compilation ‘Rock and Roll Ain’t Dead’

New single to be released this March

Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider has announced he is releasing a new career-spanning compilation to mark his 60th birthday.

Titled ‘Rock and Roll Ain’t Dead – Dee Snider Essentials 1983-2015’, the LP will feature music from all of Snider’s various projects, including Twisted Sister, Widowmaker, Desperado, Van Helsing’s Curse and Dee Does Broadway. Also included will be three brand new tracks

“I will be dropping the first single, ‘Rock And Roll Ain’t Dead’, on March 15, 2015 – my 60th birthday – and the album after that,” Snider told Sleaze Roxx. “There will be a video and a number of select solo shows in the spring and summer of 2015.”

Snider also took to Twitter to assert Ultimate Classic Rock reports on the compilation were “twue” (sic).

The singer is currently working on his show ‘Dee Snider’s Rock & Roll Christmas Tale’, a stage musical that tells the story of a metal band who sell their souls to the devil in exchange for success. The show opens in Chicago next month.
