Band will also release new EP in September featuring three new songs
Two Door Cinema Club have announced details of a gig at London’s O2 Arena on December 13.
The band will headline the 20,000 capacity venue this December following a number of festival appearances this summer, including dates at Glastonbury, T In The Park and this weekend’s V Festival (August 17 and 18).
Speaking to NME, guitarist Sam Halliday enthuses: “It doesn’t feel real yet; at the moment it feels like a dream. It’s testing the water of a new sort of show. I went to see Beyonce at the O2 recently and that show definitely fits in the O2. Then I think back to that and think of our show at the minute… We want to try and fill the stage a bit more and be confident commanding a crowd rather than just playing the songs.”
Two Door Cinema Club have also today (August 15) revealed details of a new EP which includes three brand new tracks. The ‘Changing Of The Seasons’ EP will be released on September 30, and the lead title track, produced by French teen Madeon, will be played for the first time on Zane Lowe’s Radio 1 show at 7.30pm.
Tickets for Two Door Cinema Club at the O2 Arena go on general sale at 9am on Wednesday, August 21. To check the availability of Two Door Cinema Club tickets and get all the latest listings, go to NME.COM/TICKETS now, or call 0844 858 6765
