Mac DeMarco has unveiled two new songs “recorded on the red carpet at the Met Gala”. Check out ‘She’s My Sweet’ and ‘Fuck The Toronto Raptors’ below.
Following the slow jam of new track ‘Eternally 12‘ (an instrumental collaboration with Melanie Faye), Mac’s back with another two new songs.
‘She’s My Sweet’ is a silky, smooth and laid-back dose of expletive-led R&B, while ‘Fuck The Toronto Raptors’ follows in a similar vein, with extra neo-soul vibes as Mac and his band take aim at the Canadian basketball team.
DeMarco’s latest album ‘This Old Dog’ was released in May 2017 – and now fans eagerly the impromptu release of more new music to follow.
Last December, he live-streamed 26 minutes of unheard material. Then, this April, DeMarco shared a strange four-minute clip of a cat named Pickles eating, soundtracked by some jazzy music.
Meanwhile, Mac DeMarco has been confirmed to return to Europe to perform at Pitchfork Paris music festival from 1-3 November 2018 in the French capital.
Also on the bill are Bon Iver, Fever Ray, The Voidz, Blood Orange, Chvrches, Dream Wife, DJ Koze Stephen Malkmus & the Jicks and more.
