Odd Future rapper wants to work with the former One Direction singer
Malik parted ways with the boyband in March, stating that he wishes to be “a normal 22-year-old who is able to relax and have some private time out of the spotlight”.
However, Malik recently confirmed that he’s inked a solo deal with RCA Records, the same imprint as Foo Fighters, A$AP Rocky and Miley Cyrus, stating that he wishes to make “real music”.
Over the weekend, Tyler pitched the idea of a collaboration over Twitter, writing: “Hi @zaynmalik, I have beautiful instrumentals and you have a voice lets figure this out my guy. Epic album cuts tho no radio singles”.
See the tweet below. Malik is yet to reply to the rapper’s offer.
Malik was recently pictured working in the studio with R&B producer Malay, who has teamed up with the likes of Frank Ocean, Angel Haze, John Legend and Tune-Yards in the past.
It has also been reported by Billboard that Malik has penned a deal with Turn First Artists, the management company who represent Iggy Azalea, Ellie Goulding, Rita Ora and more.
Gallagher said: “It’s a strange thing for that lad to have done at that age… Who wants to be a normal 22-year-old?! Hang on a minute. You can be fucking anything that moves and gettin’ paid half a million dollars a week, you fuckin’ idiot. You want to be a normal 22-year-old? Have you met any normal 22-year-olds? They’re fuckin’ shit-for-brains. What are you talking about, you fuckin’ idiot?”
He continued: “You might have wanted to be a normal 22-year-old, but you won’t want to be a normal 25-year-old.”
