Tyler, The Creator has said that getting fired from Starbucks was “the best day” of his life, but admits he is still angry at the woman who fired him.
The Odd Future rapper appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night (June 11) and, in a clip you can see below, was asked whether he’s ever had a job away from making music. Revealing that he spent a short time working for FedEx, Tyler then moved on to his two and a half years making coffee in Starbucks.

“Starbucks was cool because I stole cheese danishes every day,” he told Kimmel of his time with the company. “I was nice, I was cool with people, I liked talking to people.”
However, that changed when a new manager named Cindy took over the branch in which he was working.
“I didn’t kiss ass to the people who worked there and the manager. I think she found that intimidating. She hated on me. And she fired me and I hope she’s watching because I still hate her. Her firing me was the greatest moment of my life.”
Admitting that he called his mum when he learned his fate, initially the pair considered legal action before changing their minds. “We figured out they did nothing wrong,” he said. “I manned up and said I’ll get fired and I ate like three cheese danishes.”
Meanwhile, Tyler recently cast doubt on the long term future of Odd Future when he claimed the group was “no more”. Group member Earl Sweatshirt later added to the speculation by claiming Tyler was merely “solidifying the obvious.”
