Odd Future rapper performs new songs live on US TV
Tyler, The Creator appeared live on US TV last night, performing new song ‘Treehouse’ as we as his new single ‘Domo 23’.
The Odd Future rapper was a guest on Jimmy Fallon’s chat show, marking his first appearance on the show since appearing in 2011. Tyler was a guest alongside the outspoken millionaire Donald Trump and opened his two-song set behind the piano for new song ‘Treehouse’, featuring vocalist Coco from Danish act Quadron. He was then joined by Domo Genesis of Odd Future for a performance of new track ‘Domo 23’. Scroll down to watch the performance now.
Both ‘Treehouse’ and ‘Domo 23’ will appear on Tyler, The Creator‘s forthcoming new album, ‘Wolf’. The main artwork is pictured above, and was released via Tyler’s Instagram account. He also released an alternate cover and the cover of the deluxe edition – a painting of Tyler by artist Mark Ryden – for the follow-up to 2011’s ‘Goblin’, which is pictured below.
‘Domo 23’ sees Tyler namecheck David Beckham and One Direction in a light hearted party track. In the video Tyler plays an up and coming wrestler forced to fight a heavyweight champion. The album is set for release on April 1.
The Odd Future star has announced plans to play a one-off UK show at London’s O2 Islington Academy on March 30. Tickets went on sale at 9am [GMT] on February 18.
He will also play headline shows in Paris and Berlin, with the gigs taking place in the middle of his headline tour of North America.
Tyler, The Creator recently worked on a song with teen popstar Miley Cyrus and producer Pharrell Williams.
Confirming the collaboration in a new interview, the former Disney star said: “I wrote this song with Mary J Blige, and Tyler the Creator heard it and said, ‘I am obsessed with this song, and I will guest on it if you promise me that you will keep it on the album.’ And he killed it!”
