U2 add North American dates to world tour

Bono and co will hit the US this autumn

U2 have added a handful of North American dates to their forthcoming stadium world tour.

Bono and co, who are supporting their new album ‘No Line On The Horizon’, will now play dates in cities including Washington DC, Atlanta, Los Angeles and Vancouver, and have added an extra date at New York‘s Giants Stadium.

The tour is set to kick off in Barcelona on June 30. As previously reported, the band will play surrounded by the audience on a specially designed stage.

U2 will be supported by different bands throughout the tour including Glasvegas, Elbow, Kaiser Chiefs, Snow Patrol, Muse and Black Eyed Peas.

The newly added tour dates are:

Washington, DC FedEx Field (29)
Charlottesville, VA Scott Stadium (October 1)
Atlanta, GA Georgia Dome (6)
Tampa, FL Raymond James Center (9)
Los Angeles, CA Rose Bowl (25)
Vancouver, BC Place Stadium (28)
