U2 kicked off their world tour last night (June 30) at the Barcelona Nou Camp stadium – covering two Michael Jackson songs during their epic set.
Bono and co played snippet versions of the late singer’s singles ‘Man In The Mirror’ and ‘Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough’ after playing their song ‘Angel Of Harlem’ in the set.

The Irish band were playing in the centre of the huge stadium, surrounded by a space station-style stage set-up with a spherical screen projecting images of the foursome around the venue.
“This has been our neighbourhood for the last couple of weeks,” the frontman said, greeting the crowd after four songs. “This is where we wanted to build our space station.”
The group played hits from throughout their career including ‘Sunday Bloody Sunday’, ‘Where The Streets Have No Name’ and ‘Beautiful Day’ plus seven songs from recent album ‘No Line On The Horizon’, including set opener ‘Breathe’.
Bono dedicated ‘Walk On’ to former Burma leader Aung San Suu Kyi, who has been under house arrest since being elected leader three years ago.
