Green Day and Pearl Jam join the band in Hawaii
The Irish four-piece were joined by Billie Joe Armstrong for their joint cover of The Skids‘ ‘The Saints Are Coming’ at Honolulu Aloha Stadium for the first time since the two rock giants joined forces for the track’s live debut at the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans in September.
Later Pearl Jam singer Eddie Vedder and guitarist Mike McCready teamed up for a cover of Neil Young‘s ‘Rockin’ In The Free World’, a track which has become a regular in the Seattle outfit’s own global tour.

The show marked the end of U2‘s 20 month Vertigo World Tour which has seen a host of bands and artists join the Irish four-piece on the road including The Killers, The Arcade Fire, Mary J Blige and Patti Smith.
Earlier this year the band had to postpone part of their tour in New Zealand, Australia, Japan and Hawaii due to a family illness, until the current dates kicked off in November.
