Tony Blair says no to the U2 frontman. Bet he doesn't hear that word very often...
U2’s BONO attempted to give a guitar to TONY BLAIR as a gift, it has emerged.
The British Prime Minister, who used to be in a band called Ugly Rumours, was offered the instrument last year.
However, Blair was forced to turn down the present because he’s only allowed to accept gifts which are up to £140 in value as part of his code of conduct as an MP.
U2 are still at a loss as to what happened to a CD containing songs from their new album.
As revealed on NME.COM a CD belonging to guitarist Edge went missing from a photo shoot in France.
It is feared the songs were stolen, and could appear online, four months before their scheduled release date.
Guitarist The Edge said: “A large slice of two years work lifted via a piece of round plastic. It doesn’t seem credible but that’s what’s just happened to us…and it was my CD.”
