BONO TO WEBCHAT ABOUT NEW U2 MATERIAL

The singer talks about the band's new album and new film The Million Dollar Hotel...

U2’s BONO is to take part in a live webchat with fans to talk about new U2 material and his involvement in the film ‘The Million Dollar Hotel’.

The film, which is directed by Wim Wenders and stars Mel Gibson and Jeremy Davis, won the Silver Bear Award at this year’s Berlin Film Festival and is co-written and produced by Bono himself.

The soundtrack to the film features two new U2 tracks which are not going to be on U2‘s tenth studio album, due this summer, plus three other new tracks that Bono co-wrote with the ‘Million Dollar Hotel Band’, featuring Brian Eno on synthesisers, along with longtime collaborators Daniel Lanois and Greg Cohen.

The two new U2 tracks are ‘The Ground Beneath Her Feet’, which features lyrics by controversial author Salman Rushdie and ‘Stateless’.

The three Bono solo tracks are ‘Never Let Me Go’, ‘Falling At Your Feet’ and ‘Dancin’ Shoes’. All were recorded in Dublin and produced by Hal Willner.

The film ‘The Million Dollar Hotel’ is released in the UK on April 28, with the soundtrack out on March 13 through Universal Island Records.
