Hurry, if you want to go to see them at London Earl's Court...

U2 have added a a fifth extra tour date to the UK leg of their ELEVATION world tour, NME.COM can exclusively reveal.

After three initial dates sold out within hours of going on sale this morning (March 9), they added add extra shows in Manchester, Birmingham and London. These too sold out almost immediately and one final show was added at Earl’s Court on August 22. This too is expected to be gone by late this afternoon.

The UK dates are now as follows:

Manchester Evening News Arena (August 11, 12)

Birmingham NEC (13, 14)

London Earl’s Court (18, 19, 21, 22).

Tickets are priced at £32.50 and £40 for the Birmingham and Manchester dates, and £37.50 and £45 for London.

The band kick off the Elevation tour in Miami on March 24.

Further evidence of U2’s criticial and commercial renaissance can be found in the UK charts. All 12 of the band’s albums are in the UK Top 200, with seven of them in the Top 100. These are ‘All That You Can’t Leave Behind’ (3), ‘The Joshua Tree’ (24), ‘Best of… ‘ (25), ‘Achtung Baby’ (37), ‘Rattle & Hum’ (53), ‘Zooropa’ (93) and ‘Pop’ (97).
