Ian Brown is the guest vocalist on the new UNKLE single ‘Be There’, released on February 1 next year through Mo’Wax.
The song is a reworking of the instrumental track ‘Unreal’ from UNKLE‘s ‘Psyence Fiction’ album, masterminded by James Lavelle and released earlier this year.
According to a spokeswoman, Lavelle sent Brown a DAT tape of the track after the album was released and the singer eventually recorded the vocal in his own home studio – just before he was sent to prison on October 23 for threatening behaviour.
Although the titles of the B-sides have not yet been revealed, it’s believed they will feature a NOEL GALLAGHER remix of ‘The Knock’ and remixes of ‘Celestial Annihilation’ by DJ ASSAULT and THE COMMITTEE – both from ‘Psyence Fiction’. related news
