Royal Trux(pictured), Urusei Yatsura, Ten Benson, A, JURASSIC 5, LODGER and HEFNER are the latest bands to be confirmed for Reading Festival which takes place over the weekend August 28-30.
Royal Trux, who release the ‘3 Song EP’ on September 14, will be performing without singer and guitarist Neil Hagerty, due to his preference not to travel to the UK unless it’s aboard the QEII. He will be replaced with Dave Pajo of Aerial M.
Other bands playing on the three larger stages at Reading, the last major UK festival of the summer, include Garbage, New Order, Beastie Boys, Prodigy, Page & Plant, Ash, Super Furry Animals, The Bluetones, Supergrass, Foo Fighters, Mansun, The Divine Comedy, Echo & The Bunnymen, Rocket From The Crypt, Asian Dub Foundation, Travis, Symposium, Bentley Rhythm Ace, Spiritualized, Ultrasound, Gomez, Alabama 3 and Fu Manchu.
The Carlsberg Export Stage features the Vans Warped Tour, Roni Size & Reprazent and the Big Beat Boutique. The latest club nights to be added to the bill at the Rivermead Centre include a Mo’Wax night featuring James Lavelle and a night by Uncle Bob’s Wedding Reception.
Tickets can be bought from the NME 24-hour ticketline on 0870-1212 500. Calls are charged at national (UK) standard rate.
