Acoustic shows were 'First time I’d played sober' says Foo Fighter
Dave Grohl has spoken exclusively to NME.COM at this year’s V Festival.
With the Foo Fighters headlining the festival, their frontman took time out to talk to us to talk about the surprise acoustic shows the band have played ahead of their headlining sets.
“The early show went great,” he declared. “It was nice to roll up, get a cup of coffee and jump onstage at one in the afternoon. Usually your pre-show jitters get worse and worse and worse as the day goes on but if you dive right into it they go away. It was kind of nice. In fact, it’s the first show I have played sober.”

We will have a full report of the band’s Stafford headlining set tonight later today too.
