Plus Marina And The Diamonds and Biffy Clyro also play to the Bangor crowd
They followed the likes of Florence And The Machine, Dizzee Rascal and Cheryl Cole, who played the day beforehand as the event kicked off.
The New York-based band kicked off their set at the Vaynol Estate site’s In New Music We Trust stage with ‘White Sky’, and went on to play songs from across their two albums including ‘Holiday’, ‘Cousins’ and ‘A-Punk’, before ending with a jubilant rendition of ‘Walcott’.
The remainder of the bill saw pop acts including JLS and Rihanna play alongside the likes of Crystal Castles, whose frontwoman Alice Glass donned heavy black eye shadow and a pencil skirt for their eight-song set. Playing the same stage, Marina And The Diamonds‘ singer Marina Diamandis started her performance on the wearing huge heart-shaped sunglasses and a multi-coloured oriental cape.
Meanwhile on the Main Stage, Biffy Clyro opened their set with a thunderous version of ‘That Golden Rule’, and also showcased tracks including hits ‘Many Of Horror’ and ‘Captain’, while Paramore and Plan B also drew big crowds for their set.
Pendulum then wrapped things up, headlined the Main Stage with a set that showcasing their just released new album ‘Immersion’ to a packed audience.
