Vampire Weekend cancel three European tour dates

The band say "unforseen circumstances" have forced them to pull shows in Sweden, Norway and Denmark

Vampire Weekend have cancelled three European tour dates.

The band, who released their third studio album ‘Modern Vampires Of The City’ earlier this year, announced that they would be pulling gigs in Sweden, Norway and Denmark via Facebook earlier today (November 4).

Announcing the cancelled gigs in Stockholm, Oslo and Copenhagen, the band write: “Due to unforeseen circumstances, our shows in Sweden, Norway, and Denmark have been cancelled. Refunds will be available at the point of purchase. We sincerely apologize to our fans, and look forward to making it back to you soon.”

Vampire Weekend’s European tour will restart on November 12 in Birmingham. The band will then play shows in London, Glasgow and Leeds before ending in Manchester on November 17. Noah and The Whale will support on all dates.
