Taking place in New York City, the rally will also feature Spike Lee, Rosario Dawson, Shailene Woodley, Tim Robbins, Danny DeVito, Danny Glover and more.
It will be Grizzly Bear’s first performance in over two years. Both the Saturday and Sunday events are free to the public and are set to take place Manhattan’s Washington Square Park and Prospect Park, Brooklyn.
Ed Droste, Woodley, Kal Pen and others visited Columbia University and NYU to raise awareness for Sanders. Earlier this year, Vampire Weekend performed at a Sanders rally in Iowa with the likes of Killer Mike, Jenny Lewis, Best Coast, and Bon Iver also showing their support in the past.
Grizzly Bear recently collaborated with The National to cover Grateful Dead’s ‘Terrapin Station’.
The cover comes as part of the Grateful Dead tribute album ‘Day of the Dead,’ which The National are currently curating.
In a statement, the band described the track is described as the “most musically elaborate” song on the entire record. Josh Kaufman, Conrad Doucette and Youth Chorus are also set to feature.
