The NYC-shot clip was directed by Jonah Hill
Vampire Weekend have shared the new video for their Steve Lacy collaboration ‘Sunflower’ – check out the clip, which features a cameo from Jerry Seinfeld, below.
The New York band are building towards the release of their long-awaited fourth album ‘Father of the Bride’, which will arrive on May 3. ‘Sunflower’ is one of four singles – alongside ‘Big Blue’, ‘2021’ and ‘Harmony Hall’ – to emerge so far from the upcoming record.

Fans and media outlets spotted Jonah Hill filming with VW frontman Ezra Koenig in New York last month, and the result of the collaboration has now emerged with the video for ‘Sunflower’. Filmed in the Upper West Side, the clip sees Koenig and Lacy visiting various locations – with one spot seeing the two pass by Seinfeld, who gives a quizzical look to the always-spinning camera.

The clip for ‘Sunflower’ follows on from the release last month of the colourful visuals for ‘Harmony Hall’, which saw Vampire Weekend making pancakes.
The band confirmed their first UK live date of 2019 earlier this week with the announcement that they’ll perform at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend in May. A full UK headline tour has yet to be announced, however.
