Van Morrison has announced he will play three gigs in England this year, including an appearance at OXFORD’s BLENHEIM PALACE MUSIC FESTIVAL.

The legendary singer will play on July 2 at the Blenheim Palace event – which also features folk artist Joan Armatrading on the bill.

Van Morrison will then perform at Newcastle City Hall on March 9 and York’s Barbican Centre on March 10.

According to Ananova, the dates are part of the singer’s European tour, which will call at venues inDenmark, Spain, Norway and Italy.

The veteran star will also join Dire Straits’ guitarist Mark Knopfler, Brian May and Chas And Dave at a tribute concert to the late skiffle singer Lonnie Donegan on June 21 at the Royal Albert Hall.
