The festival moves to Prestatyn, north Wales and will be curated by artists Jake and Dinos Chapman
ATP Festival has announced the return of its UK holiday camp events, having originally discontinued the events in 2013.
ATP said goodbye to their traditional home in Camber Sands with a two-part ‘End Of An Era’ event in late 2013, now confirming a move to a Pontins camp in Prestatyn, North Wales.
“The redux of ATP is something that so many of our fans have wanted and we are really thrilled to be returning to a new location with Jake and Dinos Chapman, who were the first ever Nightmare Before Xmas curators, so many moons ago,” said ATP founder Barry Hogan.
The first ‘ATP 2.0’ event will be ‘Nightmare Before Xmas’ curated by artists Jake and Dinos Chapman, who previously helmed the event in 2004.
Jake Chapman said of the news: “We are so honoured to have been asked to curate ATP again this November in Prestatyn. Ten years ago we curated the first Nightmare Before Xmas and lost so many brain cells that it’s taken a decade to replace them. It is extremely special for us be involved again.”
Among the acts confirmed so far are Loop, Iceage, Max Richter, The Notwist, The Album Leaf, Holly Herndon, Dinos Chapman, Death, Ought, Blanck Mass, Fumaça Preta, Andrew Hung, Sculpture, Younghusband, Vision Fortune and Grimm Grimm.
‘ATP 2.0 Nightmare Before Christmas’ will run from November 27-29. Early bird tickets go on sale Friday (March 20) at 12pm.
The line-up for this year’s ATP Iceland was recently announced, with the likes of Iggy Pop, Belle & Sebastian and more set to perform.
Last year, ATP were forced to cancel Jabberwocky Festival in London due to poor ticket sales.
