This year’s Glastonbury Festival has kicked off today in Pilton, Somerset, with the gates opening for the first arrivals.

Glastonbury 2015 will run from June 24-28 at Worthy Farm, headlined by Kanye West, The Who and Florence And The Machine, the latter replacing Foo Fighters, who were forced to cancel last week.

Meanwhile, Foo Fighters recently hailed Kanye West‘s forthcoming headline slot at Glastonbury, comparing the rapper to hip hop veterans Public Enemy.

In a video interview with the NME which you can watch below, frontman Dave Grohl also said the recent petition against the rapper, which attracted over 133,000 votes, will only help West’s cause.

“I don’t know that much about Kanye’s music but right now Kanye vs Glastonbury is about as close to that old school [Public Enemy] vibe as you’re going to get,” he added.

“I don’t know who the dude is that started the petition but I think every one of those votes is only fuelling Kanye’s fucking fire and it could be the greatest show of all time.”
