OMI’s Cheerleader celebrates fourth week at Number 1 on UK Singles Chart

Taylor Swift's 'Bad Blood' enters the chart at Number 4

OMI has topped the UK Official Singles Chart for a fourth week with his song ‘Cheerleader’.

The track beat out Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth’s ‘See You Again’, a former Number 1 that rose from 3 to 2 this week. At Number 3 is LunchMoney Lewis’s ‘Bills’.

Taylor Swift is this week’s highest new entry with ‘Bad Blood’ coming in at Number 4. The song originally appeared on the singer’s ‘1989’ album, but this new single version features a guest spot from Kendrick Lamar.

Both Swift and Lamar appear in the new star-studded, cinematic video for ‘Bad Blood’, alongside the likes of Lena Dunham, Selena Gomez, Jessica Alba, Hailee Steinfeld, Ellie Goulding, Paramore singer Hayley Williams, Ellen Pompeo and Cindy Crawford, among many others. The Joseph Kahn-directed piece broke a Vevo record by achieving 20.1 million views in 24 hours.

Rounding off the Top 5 and reaching a new peak on the tally is Skrillex, Diplo and Justin Bieber’s ‘Where Are U Now’. Elsewhere, Hozier’s ‘Someone New’ climbs five places to 19 for its fourth week in the Top 40, while Jessie J has earned her 16th Top 40 hit with Pitch Perfect 2 song ‘Flashlight’.
