London festival will be headlined by Ride and Caribou
Matthew E. White is the latest artist to join the line-up for this year’s Field Day festival.
Field Day 2015 takes place in London’s Victoria Park from June 6-7. Already confirmed are headliner Caribou and Ride, plus big name artists including Patti Smith, Mac DeMarco, FKA Twigs and more.
White released his latest album ‘Fresh Blood’ in March of this year and will perform on the Sunday of the festival (June 7) on a bill that already includes DIIV, Ex Hex, Gaz Coombes, Savages and Viet Cong.
Last month (April) LA Priest, TALA and Ratking were added to the bill at Field Day. The side project of Late of the Pier’s Sam Dust, LA Priest, are also joined by new additions Future Brown, Liverpool’s Hooton Tennis Club and New York’s Ratking on the bill for June 6.
In an ambitious move, Field Day have started a petition to recreate the “collaboration” captured at the NME Awards in February, with a Facebook event entitled “Can we get Jimmy Page to guest with Run the Jewels at Field Day 2015?!” The page description reads, “After that picture of Jimmy Page and Run the Jewels at the NME Awards appeared in February, we got to thinking – what if they really would come to together to form the best super-group of 2015?”
They go on to write “So here we are, asking for you to help us make the dream come true! Spread the word to help make Field Day 2015 a year to remember.”
