'Big Girls Cry' remix collection is due out next week
Pop star Sia is preparing to release a six track collection of ‘Big Girls Cry’ remixes this Tuesday (April 28). Having already unveiled Odesza’s ambient version of the song last year, the singer has teased fans further by posting Jack Antonoff of Bleachers‘ take on the single.
Antonoff, perhaps better known as the lead guitarist of the band Fun, adds extra electronics and a rattling drum beat to the track, the original of which features on Sia’s most recent album ‘1000 Forms Of Fear’. Click below to listen.
The Australian singer released a video for ‘Big Girls Cry’ earlier this month, marking her third collaboration with 12-year-old dancer and actress Maddie Ziegler. The child star previously appeared in the videos for ‘Chandelier’, which scooped a 2014 MTV Video Music Awards for Best Choreography, and ‘Elastic Heart’, co-starring Shia Lebouef.
Sia and Ziegler’s partnership might be at an end, however, as this week saw the release of a new video for the track ‘Fire Meet Gasoline’ , featuring not Ziegler but model Heidi Klum and Game of Thrones actor Pedro Pascal.
Bleachers, meanwhile, recently announced a co-headlining US tour alongside Charli XCX that will take place this summer. While they won’t be appearing in the UK together, Antonoff is due to perform Glasgow’s The Garage venue on July 5 and the Academy 3, Manchester on July 6.
