The twin festivals will take place this year from August 28-30
Shura and Bo Ningen are among the new additions to the line-up for this year’s Reading & Leeds festivals.
Reading and Leeds will take place this year from August 28-30 simultaneously at Richfield Avenue and Bramham Park respectively.
Newly confirmed today for the NME/Radio 1 Stage is British songwriter/producer Shura. Having been been longlisted on the BBC Sound of 2015 poll, the Manchester native released her breakthrough single ‘2Shy’ in March, with a debut album scheduled for later this year via Polydor. Anglo-Japanese noise outfit Bo Ningen join the Lock-Up/Pit Stage, having released their latest album ‘III’ last year. The band also collaborated with Savages for a one-track, 37 minute-long joint album called ‘Words To The Blind’ in 2014. Read the NME review of ‘Words To The Blind’.
Other new acts include Young Thug, Mariachi El Bronx, Skinny Lister, As It Is, No Devotion, The Struts, Twin Peaks, Hayden James, Ferdinand Weber, Riptide Movement, Maribou State, Petite Meller, The Six, Remi Miles, Star.One, Sunset Sons, Neon Waltz, Spring King, Seether and The Last Internationale.
The Libertines were recently announced as the third and final headliners for this year’s Reading and Leeds festival. The band join Metallica and Mumford & Sons at the top of the bills for the events.
