New entries also come from Tove Lo, Roisin Murphy, Leonard Cohen and The Fall
Mumford & Sons are set for their second week at Number One in the Official UK Album Chart this week with their album ‘Wilder Mind’ leading the sales figures in today’s (May 13) midweek update.
‘Wilder Mind’ went straight to Number One when it was released on May 4, knocking Blur’s ‘The Magic Whip’ off the top spot. Official Chart Company data released today, however, reveals that ‘Wilder Mind’ is currently outselling its nearest rival – Hozier’s self-titled debut – by over 8,000 copies.
Also new in the Top 10 at today’s midweek point is Tove Lo’s ‘Queen Of The Clouds’. The Swedish singer behind hits such as ‘(Habits) Stay High’ and ‘Talking Body’ is new at Number 10.
Other new entries in this week’s Official Album Chart at today’s midweek stage include Eric Clapton (5), Róisín Murphy (14), Leonard Cohen (15), Thea Gilmore (21), Snoop Dogg (23), Madness (29), The Fall (31), Nathan Carter (32) and Magnum (39).
Meanwhile, in the Official UK Singles Chart, LunchMoney Lewis is on course for Number One with his single ‘Bills’.
Lewis pushes last week’s chart topper, OMI’s ‘Cheerleader’, down to Number Two, and Swedish production duo Galantis enter the Top 40 at Number Three with ‘Runaway (U & I)’ following the song’s release. The dance track is proving to be a hit across the globe, having already entered the Top 10 in seven countries.
The full chart rundown is announced on BBC Radio 1 this Sunday (May 17).
