The music world has reacted to the final of the Euro 2016 football tournament.
The final – which took place on Sunday (July 10) at the Stade de France in Saint-Denis, north of Paris – saw Portugal beat host nation France.
An extra time strike from substitute Éder sealed the win for Portugal, whose hopes looked slim earlier in the game when star player Ronaldo was substituted through injury.
Shura reacted to the win on Twitter, writing that Éder’s strike was an “incredible winning goal” and that the team had “showed such resolve” after Ronaldo was forced off. The singer also paid tribute to France, saying that it was “so sad that someone has to lose”.
Saint Raymond, meanwhile, appeared disappointed at the quality on display in the final, writing, “Euro 2016 was the England of major tournaments. A massive let down”.
The Rolling Stones‘ Mick Jagger also uploaded a video of himself at the stadium. See that below and a collection of Twitter responses to the match.
