Show interrupted as fans fight mid-gig

Nothing But Thieves guitarist Dom Craik jumped off stage during the band’s American tour to break up a fight between fans in the audience.

Dropping his guitar instantly, Craik can be seen to crowdsurfing to reach the altercation. The rest of the band also stopped mid-set to help out Craik and calm the situation.

Writing on Instagram, Craik said “When a fight breaks out in the crowd in Chicago. I am a flying salmon.” He also tweeted about the incident, writing: I flew through the crowd like a graceful salmon #dontfightatgigsyoumuppets

The Essex five-piece have recently returned from an extensive US tour, with a performance of ‘Wake Up Call’ on Conan O’Brien’s late night chat show.

Nothing But Thieves recently supported Muse on their ‘Drones’ tour, with the band saying they were “over the moon” that Muse asked them to support. “We get to hear ‘Plug In Baby’ in arenas every night for a month…pretty awesome!” they tweeted.

This summer the band set to play Reading/Leeds Festival and announced on Tuesday (May 31) that they will be touring the UK in November and December. You can see the full tour dates below:
