NME Awards 2015 with Austin, Texas to take place tonight

The star-studded ceremony kicks off at 8.45pm at London's O2 Academy Brixton

The NME Awards 2015 with Austin, Texas takes place tonight at London’s O2 Academy Brixton (February 18).

One of Britpop’s most iconic groups, the band will pick up the award in person and also perform live at the event. Previous winners of NME’s Godlike Genius Award include Blondie, The Clash, Paul Weller, The Cure, Manic Street Preachers, New Order & Joy Division, Dave Grohl, Noel Gallagher and Johnny Marr.

In addition to Suede, Royal Blood will perform live on the night as will Run The Jewels, The Vaccines and Charli XCX. Radio 1 DJ Huw Stephens will return to host the show for the second year in a row, which kicks off at 8.45pm, with arrivals and red carpet action from earlier in the evening.

Awards to be handed out tonight include Best British Band supported by Marshall, Best Live Band supported by Dead Crow, Best New Band supported by Replay, Best Track supported by Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Best International Band supported by Austin and Best Solo Artist supported by Pilot Frixion.
