Soundtracker of films including 'Gladiator' and 'The Dark Knight' trilogy to play twice in London
Hans Zimmer, the man behind the music for films such as The Lion King and The Dark Knight, is to play his first ever UK concerts with two dates at London’s Eventim Apollo confirmed for October.
Zimmer will bring his ‘Hans Zimmer Revealed’ show to the capital on October 10 and 11 for a celebration of his illustrious career providing soundtracks for blockbuster Hollywood films.
The show is split into two parts with the first half seeing Zimmer, alongside a full band and orchestra, performing his scores from films such as Gladiator and Pirates Of The Caribbean while the second half will see Zimmer joined by special guests for re-imagined versions of his scores to Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight Trilogy and Inception.
Speaking about the upcoming performances, Zimmer said: “Performing a concert series like this is something that I have always wanted to do, and I am thrilled that that time has finally come. I am very excited to get some of my very talented friends together and give our audiences an experience unlike any concert they have ever been to before.”
Earlier this year it was confirmed that Zimmer will compose the soundtrack for the forthcoming Batman Vs Superman, starring Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne and Henry Cavill as Superman.
