Union J announced to headline London Hyde Park children’s concert

Boyband complete this year's Barclaycard Presents British Summer Time gig series

Union J have been announced to headline the final night at Barclaycard Presents British Summer Time at London’s Hyde Park concert series.

The boyband will perform on June 28 for a special children’s event which also includes SpongeBob Squarepants, CBeebies star Justin Fletcher, Dick and Dom and Britain’s Got Talent 2014 winners Collabro.

Earlybird Tickets go on sale at 9am on Wednesday (April 29) before tickets go on general sale on May 5. For more information head to Barclaycard.co.uk.

The ten day Barclaycard Presents British Summer Time concert series will take place from June 18-28.

Among this year’s performers include Blur, The Horrors and Drenge on June 20.

Jupiter & Okwess International, Roots Manuva, Kitty, Daisy & Lewis, Teleman, Iris Gold, Fufanu and Sugarmen will also play on that day.

Blur last performed live in the UK at their last Hyde Park concert in August 2012, a gig that coincided with the end of the London Olympics.

In other British Summer Time Hyde Park shows, The Who will perform alongside Paul Weller, Kaiser Chiefs and Johnny Marr on June 26.

Taylor Swift is also set to play the festival one day on June 27 while Kylie Minogue tops a bill featuring Chic and Grace Jones on June 21.
