Mark Ronson and Sam Smith take top spots of UK Singles and Albums charts

'Uptown Funk' spends its fourth non-consecutive week at Number One

Mark Ronson remains at Number One in this week’s Official Singles Chart while Sam Smith reclaims top spot of the Official Albums Chart.

Ronson’s ‘Uptown Funk’ spends its fourth non-consecutive week at Number One, the most streamed song in the chart, with 2.43 million streams alone this week. ‘Uptown Funk’, which features Bruno Mars, already holds the record for most streams in a week at 2.56 million.

Elsewhere in the Singles Chart, Philip George remains at Number Two, while Ed Sheeran, Olly Murs and Hozier occupy the rest of the top five.

In the Albums Chart, Sam Smith (pictured right) reaches the top of the chart for the fifth time, with ‘In The Lonely Hour’ moving up from third. Meanwhile, Ed Sheeran’s ‘X’, George Ezra’s ‘Wanted On Voyage’, Taylor Swift’s ‘1989’ and Olly Murs’ ‘Never Been Better’ position at Number Two, Three, Four and Five respectively.
