Mumford and Sons, Muse and Justin Timberlake to perform at Brit Awards tonight

Stars gear up for annual awards ceremony at London's O2 Arena

The 2013 Brit Awards are a matter of hours away with Muse and Mumford and Sons set to perform live at this year’s ceremony.

The awards, hosted for the third time in a row by comedian James Corden, will be broadcast live on ITV1 from 8pm. Performances from Taylor Swift, Ben Howard, One Direction, Justin Timberlake and Robbie Williams will take place between awards with Emeli Sande set to close the show. Muse will open the show with the help of a 75-piece orchestra as they perform ‘Supremacy’.

Nominated artists on the night include Emeli Sande, Alt-J, Mumford and Sons, Rita Ora and Frank Ocean, who will all be battling it out to win multiple awards. The statue awarded to winners is, this year, designed by Damien Hirst, following in the footsteps of Vivenne Westwood and Sir Peter Blake, who had previously redesigned the award.
