Field Day Festival auctions off signed items and one-off paintings by bands for charity

Deerhunter, Roots Manuva and more have donated original artwork for housing charity Shelter

Field Day Festival is holding an online auction including signed tea towels and original paintings done by the artists from this year’s event to raise money for charity.

The likes of Deerhunter, Roots Manuva and Boy Better Know’s Laigon Boyz have donated canvases they painted while backstage at the London festival earlier this month.

James Blake, Goat, The Avalanches, Fat White Family, Moon Duo, Mbongwana Star and Beach House have all signed Field Day tea towels for the auction.

Proceeds from the auction will go to Shelter’s Fix Renting campaign, which aims to make rented homes in the capital safer and more secure for everyone.

The auction is now live on eSolidar and will run until July 8.

Super early bird tickets for Field Day 2017 are now available. The festival will return to east London’s Victoria Park on June 3-4.
