Lianne La Havas, Slow Club and The Invisible also confirmed for the bash
The initial line-up for Tramlines Festival in Sheffield has been announced.
The three-day event runs from July 19-21 and takes place across the whole of the city. Acts confirmed for the festival so far include Duke Dumont, Dutch Uncles and Veronica Falls as well as Mercury Prize nominee Lianne La Havas, Toddla T Sound, Friends, Slow Club and The Crookes.
This year will be the first year organisers are charging for entry, with the introduction of a one-off fee of £6 per day. Tramlines has been a free festival since 2009 but funding cuts have forced the organisers to ask punters to contribute. “Tramlines really is a festival like no other,” Festival Director Sarah Nulty said. “We give music fans a chance to see their favourite artists for just £6 a day. I’d say we are the best value festival out there and I can’t wait for the festival weekend now – things are really gearing up.”
Regular line-up announcements will be made over the coming weeks. For ticket information see the official Tramlines website.
