Paisley singer's third album shows strong sales figures while Kiesza is set for Number One in Singles Chart
Paolo Nutini is set to end Kaiser Chiefs’ two-week reign at Number One in the Official Albums Chart with his new album ‘Caustic Love’.
Official Chart Company data reveals that ‘Caustic Love’, Nutini’s third album, is currently on course to be the fastest-selling artist album of 2014 so far. Since its release on Monday (April 14) over 59,000 copies of the album have been sold. The final chart will be revealed on BBC Radio 1 this Sunday (April 13).
There are nine other new entries on this week’s Official Albums Chart Update with The Vamps’ ‘Meet The Vamps’ new at Number Two, and Jethro Tull’s Ian Anderson just outside the Top Five with his new concept album, ‘Homo Erraticus’ (6).
Elsewhere, former X Factor contestant Rhydian is new at 15 and the 25th anniversary edition of The Stone Roses’ debut album is at 23. Elsewhere, ‘Do To The Beast’ by Afghan Whigs is at 24, Swedish House Mafia’s ‘One Last Tour – A Live Soundtrack’, is new at 29 with Ben Watt (30), Morten Harket (32) and Billy Bragg’s ‘Live At The Union Chapel London’ (36).
Meanwhile, in the Official Singles Chart, Kiesza looks certain to reach Number One with her single ‘Hideaway’ having sold over 86,000 copies already this week.
Other new entries in this week’s Singles Chart at the midweek point come from Shift K3y (3), Meridian Dan (6), Elyar Fox (7) and Showtek (27).
