Naughty Boy backs PETA neutering campaign

'It's naughty not to neuter' campaign supported by chart-topper

Naughty Boy is backing a new PETA campaign to promote the neutering of cats and dogs.

The producer, whose real name is Shahid Khan, is photoed in posters for the animal rights organisation’s new campaign, with the slogan “It’s naughty not to neuter”.

In a statement the chart-topper said: “There’s no excuse for not neutering. Animal shelters are severely crowded with dogs and cats, and that will continue as long as too many puppies and kittens are being born. We can fix the problem by ‘fixing’ our dogs and cats.”

According to PETA, one unspayed female cat and her offspring can produce up to 370,000 cats in seven years while there is no limit to the amount of litters unneutered males can produce. The organisation says “fixing” cats and dogs will ensure healthier, happier animals and reduce the number of unwanted animals left at crowded animal shelters who could face being put down.

Naughty Boy isn’t the first musician to get behind a PETA campaign – Sir Paul McCartney, Waka Flocka Flame, Mark Ronson and Simon Cowell are all amongst those who’ve also lent their support in the past.
