Glastonbury 2013: The latest weather report

Temperatures this week will reach 20°C according to the Met Office

The latest Glastonbury weather reports suggest the festival will be mostly dry with sunny spells.

A spokesperson from the Met Office told NME: “It’s all looking OK at the moment as we lead up to people arriving on Wednesday. The main point to note is that it will be dry in the run up to the festival and not much rain over the weekend. It’s also been pretty dry during June so this should help to keep the mud at bay.”

She added: “From Wednesday high pressure will be in charge meaning we will see dry and settled conditions leading up to the weekend. Temperatures this week creeping up to 20°C with some sunny spells around. We may see some light rain first thing on Friday but this will clear away and it will be a dry evening.”

In other Glasto news, the festival’s organiser Emily Eavis has revealed that Adele and Led Zeppelin are at the top of her dream list for future headliners.

When asked if she keeps a Post-it note on her fridge with her dream list written on, she replied: “Yeah, it’s on a napkin actually. On the fridge, there… We would love to have Adele. And we’d also love to have Led Zeppelin. I mean Zeppelin have got to do it haven’t they? It would be so good, wouldn’t it.”
