The singer's exhalation will be enclosed in a Mason jar "with silver sealing wax so no-one can accidentally open it"
Sia is auctioning off her own breath captured in a jar for charity.
The auction will take place in Sia’s hometown at the Adelaide film festival event, hosted by movie critics Margaret Pomeranz and David Stratton, later this week (October 31). Sia’s breath will be enclosed in a Mason jar “with silver sealing wax so no-one can accidentally open it”.
“Gorgeously and magnificently breathed into a jar for us,” a spokesperson for the festival said. “Whoever wins it will be able to break that seal – or just let it be.”
The auction follows other celebrity breaths being auctioned off in recent times, with Brad Pitt’s exhalation selling on eBay for £340 in 2010.
Sia, whose latest album ‘1000 Forms of Fear’ reached the top of the US chart in July, released her breakthrough single ‘Breathe Me’ in 2004.
The former Zero 7 singer recently teamed up with Eminem for ‘Guts Over Fear’, the first single from Eminem’s forthcoming two-CD compilation album ‘Shady XV’.
Sia also appeared on a ‘South Park’ sketch earlier this month, singing on Lorde spoof track ‘Push (Feel Good On A Wednesday)’.
