Desiigner appears to be taking credit for the recent news that giant pandas are no longer an endangered species.
The Brooklyn rapper and Kanye West collaborator released his viral hit ‘Panda’ late last year and the track shot up the charts after being sampled by West on his ‘The Life Of Pablo’ album in February.
Following news that giant pandas have experienced a population rebound in China, fans began to tweet at Desiigner, giving him credit for popularising the animal in his track.
Desiigner then responded, saying that he was “saving pandas”. The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) also tweeted at Desiigner, thanking him for his support. See below.

Meanwhile, Desiigner has announced his debut UK headline show. The rapper will perform at London’s Heaven on October 7.
He is also reported to be collaborating with Diplo on new music.
