Richard and Adam's 'Impossible Dream' album set for top spot as Avicii stands firm on Singles Chart
Richard and Adam, the opera singers who came third on this year’s series of Britain’s Got Talent, are on course to have the Number One album in the UK this weekend with their debut ‘The Impossible Dream’ outselling the current chart-topper by Jahmene Douglas.
‘Love Never Fails’ by X Factor runner-up Jahmene Douglas is at Number Two in the Official Chart Company’s midweek update, while Alunageorge have a high new entry with their debut album ‘Body Music’ in at five. Richard and Adam made headlines with their appearance on Britain’s Got Talent earlier this year when musician Natalie Holt interrupted the performance to pelt eggs at Simon Cowell.
There are four other high new entries on today’s Official Albums Chart update. Scouting For Girls are set to debut in the Top 10 with their ‘Greatest Hits’ compilation, while Backstreet Boys just miss out with their new studio album ‘In A World Like This’ in at 11.
US metal band Five Finger Death Punch look set to score their highest-charting album to date with ‘The Wrong Side Of Heaven And The Righteous Side Of Hell, Volume 1’ in at 12, while folk singer Martin Simpson’s album ‘Vagrant Stanzas’ is at 20.
Meanwhile, nobody can get near Avicii at the top spot of the UK’s Official Singles Chart this week with the EDM giant’s club banger ‘Wake Me Up’ on course to spend a third straight week at Number One. New entries in the Singles Chart this week are expected from Eliza Doolittle (currently at 11), Clean Bandit (33) and Rudimental (38).
