Rapper apparently had his wallet and mobile phone stolen but is playing down the incident on Twitter
Rapper 2 Chainz was robbed at gunpoint in San Francisco, California on Sunday afternoon (June 9).
Conflicting reports had suggested that a member of his entourage was the actual victim of the attack, with the rapper merely an onlooker, but local police have now confirmed that 2 Chainz was the one robbed, Radio.com reports.
According to a police spokesman, the incident occurred at around 4.30pm local time in a central district of the city. 2 Chainz and his entourage were apparently approached on the street by a suspect carrying a handgun, who went on to fire a gunshot.
Most of the rapper’s entourage are said to have “scattered” but 2 Chainz reportedly “fell to the ground” and had his wallet and mobile phone stolen. The robber then fled the scene and has yet to be identified. Those involved, the police spokesman claimed, “are being very uncooperative.”
Meanwhile, 2 Chainz appears to be playing down the incident on Twitter, posting the following rather ambiguous message.
