Fans of David Bowie will be able to purchase a 7″ vinyl copy of ‘The Stars (Are Out Tonight)’/’Where Are We Now?’ limited to 1,000 copies. In addition to Bowie and McCartney, bands including Foals, Tame Impala, The Horrors, Biffy Clyro, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Frank Turner, Jake Bugg and Bat For Lashes are all putting out limited edition releases on April 20.

Speaking about his love for Record Store Day, Tom Furse of The Horrors told NME, “It’s a great excuse for everyone to put out all the records they don’t put out for the rest of the year because they’re too worried about release schedules and things like that. I’m really hoping Jack White’s Third Man label will put out some amazing stuff again this year.” The Horrors and Toy will release a limited edition, white label split 12″ with fellow London band Toy for this year’s event.

A launch event for Record Store Day takes place at London’s Rough Trade East tonight (March 21) with Ghostpoet, Tom Odell and a DJ set by Benga. Visit www.recordstoreday.co.uk to see the full list of special releases announced for Record Store Day.
