Mars Volta and Red Hot Chili Peppers’ supergroup Antemasque share new song – listen

'People Forget' is the third song to come from Flea, Cedric Bixler-Zavala and Omar Rodríguez-López' new band

Antemasque, the band featuring Cedric Bixler-Zavala and Omar Rodríguez-López and Red Hot Chili Peppers‘ Flea have premiered new song ‘People Forget’. Scroll down to hear the track now.

As reported earlier this week (April 8) the musicians are working alongside former Mars Volta drummer Dave Elitch on the project. It marks the first time since that Bixler-Zavala and Rodríguez-López have worked together since the demise of The Mars Volta last year.

‘People Forget’ is the third track to come from Antemasque with ‘4AM’ and ‘Hangin In The Lurch’ both streaming on Bandcamp now.

Bixler-Zavala dissolved The Mars Volta last year (2013) after longtime bandmate Rodriguez-Lopez started new band Bosnian Rainbows, comparing him to a cheating wife in an official statement.

The duo’s other group, At The Drive-In, last reunited for a string of shows in 2012 when they reissued both their ‘Relationship Of Command’ and ‘Acrobatic Tenement’ albums.

Flea also plays in Atoms For Peace with Radiohead’s Thom Yorke and Rocketjuice And The Moon with Blur’s Damon Albarn.
