Dave Grohl and Slipknot’s Corey Taylor contribute to Teenage Time Killer album

US super group also features members of Black Flag, Dead Kennedys, Queens of the Stone Age and Soulfly

Dave Grohl has contributed to a new album by supergroup Teenage Time Killer along with members of Slipknot, Black Flag and Queens Of The Stone Age.

Teenage Time Killer, the side-project for Mike Dean and Reed Mullin from Corrosion of Conformity have recruited a huge number of guest stars including Dave Grohl plus Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor, reports Faster Louder. Dead Kennedys vocalist Jello Biafra will sing comedian John Cleese’s poem ‘Ode to Hannity’ on the record while Lamb of God frontman Randy Blythe will also contribute.

Other musicians attached to the project, which currently has no release date, include Black Flag’s Keith Morris, ex-Queens Of The Stone Age/Kyuss bassist Nick Oliveri, Max Cavalera of Soulfly, Neil Fallon (Clutch), Lee Ving (Fear) and members of The Misfits, Municipal Waste, Red Fang, Goatsnake, Brujeria, My Ruin, Prong, Articles Of Faith and SUNN O))).

Speaking to New York radio station WFMU, Reed Mullin said that Teenage Time Killer was first planned as a much shorter project but grew in size with the number of people who became involved. “We had all these other folks that want to participate. It’s a very good mixture of old hardcore punk, punk and metal stuff … People are going to be pleasantly surprised. It’s pretty cool.”

Meanwhile, Dave Grohl has said that the new Foo Fighters album is different from anything the band have done before. The band recently revealed that the sessions for their new album are “fucking on” by posting a picture of a row of master tapes labelled ‘Foo Fighters LP 8’ to their official Instagram.
