1960s supermodel Twiggy to release new album featuring Bryan Adams

'Romantically Yours' will be her third album release

The face of the swinging sixties, Twiggy, is set to release her first recorded material since the 1970s.

‘Romantically Yours’ sees M&S model Twiggy – real name Lesley Hornby – singing a selection of classic love songs, including Neil Young‘s ‘Only Love Can Break Your Heart’, ‘Waterloo Sunset’ by The Kinks and Bryan Adams’s ‘Heaven’, which will feature a new guitar solo from Adams.

The album also features versions of ‘Blue Moon’, ‘My Funny Valentine’ and ‘They Can’t Take That Away From Me’ and will be released on November 21.

Twiggy released a number of singles in the 1970s and has also performed in a number of musicals in London‘s West End. She also produced two Top 20 albums.

The new album will feature guest vocals from her daighter Carly as well as vocals from Richard Marx, who Twiggy duets with on a cover of his song ‘Right Here Waiting’, reports the Independent. She said:

I haven’t done this for quite a while, so people forget, and there’s no reason why they should remember, it’s my life… I’ve been very visible doing other things, but you don’t want people to think ‘Oh, now Twiggy‘s doing an album’, because I’m actually going back into what I’ve done since 1970.

In 1998, she appeared with Twiggy Ramirez from Marilyn Manson‘s band, to cover Dusty Springfield‘s ‘I Only Want To Be With You’.
