Rapper violated terms of probation while filming VH1 documentary
TI has landed back in jail just 48 hours after being released for violating the terms of his probation.
The Atlanta-born rapper was jailed on drugs charges in October 2010, and released on August 31.
Prior to his release, the Grammy-nominated star had signed a deal with VH1 to document him settling in to life after prison.
The 30-year-old was later found to have broken the terms of his probation by travelling on a luxury bus to a halfway house in Atlanta from federal prison in Arkansas. The court had ruled, however, he was only permitted to travel with his wife, and not discuss business while on the bus.
VH1 and TI.’s manager have written to prison bosses claiming they weren’t talking about business matter, but was still returned to jail.
It is not known how long TI – real name Clfford Harris Jr – will be back in prison for.
It’s not the first time TI has been in jail. He was sentenced to a year and a day in prison in 2009 for numerous weapons charges.
